Leben und Taten des scharfsinnigen Edlen Don Quixote von la Mancha, Band 1
by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra
'Leben und Taten des scharfsinnigen Edlen Don Quixote von la Mancha, Band 1' Summary
Don Quixote de la Mancha is a man of La Mancha, who lives in a world of his own imagination. He has read so many chivalric novels that he believes himself to be a knight-errant, and sets out to right the wrongs of the world. He is accompanied by his faithful squire, Sancho Panza, who is a simple farmer but is also a loyal friend. Together, they encounter a variety of characters and situations, all of which are seen through the lens of Don Quixote's deluded imagination. The novel is a satire of the chivalric romances that were popular at the time, and it also explores the themes of idealism, reality, and the nature of heroism.Book Details
