Tom Sawyer is a mischievous boy who lives with his Aunt Polly and half-brother Sid in the fictional town of St. Petersburg, Missouri. Tom is always getting into trouble, but he is also a good-hearted boy who loves to play with his friends, Huckleberry Finn and Joe Harper. One day, while playing in the woods, Tom and Huckleberry stumble upon a cave. They explore the cave and find a treasure chest full of gold. Tom and Huckleberry become rich, but they keep their secret from everyone else. One day, Tom and Huckleberry witness a murder. They are afraid to tell anyone what they saw, but they know that they have to do something. They decide to run away from home and become pirates. Tom and Huckleberry have many adventures on their journey. They meet a variety of characters, both good and bad. They also learn a lot about themselves and about the world around them. In the end, Tom and Huckleberry return home. They are still the same mischievous boys, but they have also grown up a lot. They have learned the importance of friendship, loyalty, and courage.Book Details
