'Marion de Lorme' Summary
Marion de Lorme is a beautiful and intelligent courtesan who lives in 17th-century Paris. She is known for her relationships with the most powerful men in the city, including King Louis XIII. However, Marion is also a kind and compassionate woman who is secretly in love with Didier, a young nobleman. When Didier is arrested for treason, Marion uses her influence to try to save him. However, her efforts are ultimately unsuccessful, and Didier is executed. Marion is devastated by Didier's death, but she eventually finds solace in her work as a courtesan.
