Juan de Pipaón, un hombre de origen humilde, relata su ascenso social en la corte madrileña durante el reinado de Fernando VII. A través de sus memorias, el lector se adentra en la vida del cortesano, sus estrategias para obtener favores y su búsqueda de influencia en el entorno real.
