'metamorfosis' Summary
Gregorio Samsa, un viajante de comercio, despierta una mañana para descubrir que se ha transformado en un insecto grotesco. La noticia de su cambio genera una serie de reacciones dentro de su familia. Su madre se desmaya, su padre se muestra hostil y su hermana, Grete, intenta adaptarse a la nueva situación. La familia intenta mantener a Gregorio en un cuarto, pero la situación se vuelve cada vez más insostenible. El miedo, la repugnancia y la dificultad para comunicarse con Gregorio hacen que la familia se distancie de él. Grete, inicialmente cariñosa, se encarga de sus necesidades básicas, pero también se siente disgustada por su apariencia. A medida que pasan los días, Gregorio, incapaz de comunicarse verbalmente, se siente cada vez más alienado. Intenta adaptarse a su nueva realidad, pero la familia no lo acepta. La situación se agrava cuando la familia decide que Gregorio se ha convertido en una carga y que es necesario deshacerse de él. En un acto de compasión, Grete sugiere que lo lleven a un veterinario, lo cual es visto como un último recurso. Gregorio muere solo, sin que la familia se percate de su fallecimiento.
