Odyssey (Book 6)

by Homer

The Odyssey is an epic poem by Homer, describing the ten-year journey of Odysseus, the king of Ithaca, back to his homeland after the fall of Troy. This particular book, Book 6, follows Odysseus as he washes up on the shore of Phaeacia and encounters Nausicaa, the daughter of the king. Nausicaa takes pity on Odysseus and helps him, providing him with food, clothing, and shelter. She also arranges for him to meet her father, King Alcinous, who agrees to help Odysseus return home.
