Parlor Matches
'Parlor Matches' Summary
Mrs. Seltoon, a socialite obsessed with matchmaking, focuses her efforts on finding a suitable match for her niece, Gail. She believes that Don Radey's cousin, Adrian Lee, a charismatic movie star, would be perfect for Gail. However, Adrian, who is not particularly interested in romance, mistakenly believes the new maid, Abigail, is Gail. In a series of comical misunderstandings, Gail pretends to be engaged to Adrian to escape the advances of her intended match. The play unfolds with a delightful mix of mistaken identities, romantic complications, and humorous situations. Gail's efforts to navigate the social complexities, combined with the comical mishaps of the butler, Jorkes, and the intelligent maid, Abigail, provide a witty commentary on social conventions and the complexities of love.Book Details
