'Phineas Finn' Summary
Phineas Finn is a young Irish lawyer who enters the British Parliament in the 1860s. He quickly becomes a rising star, due to his charisma and his commitment to social justice. However, his career is soon threatened by a series of personal scandals. He is accused of having an affair with a married woman, and he is also accused of corruption. Finn is eventually cleared of these charges, but his reputation is damaged. He leaves Parliament and returns to Ireland, where he starts a new life.Book Details
