Poems Of The Great War

Poems of the Great War

by Various

This collection of poems from the outset of the First World War sought to bolster the war effort and reinforce the determination of the British people. Despite the fact that the war would continue for another four years, these poems of hope, victory, and peace assisted a nation in peril to cope with the daily threat to its existence. They reminded the British people of the leaders they were fighting for and the cause of freedom and justice.
