'Schippersjongen' Summary
In 1573, the city of Leiden is under siege by the Spanish. The city is starving, and the people are desperate. A group of rebel sailors, led by a young boy named Kees, decide to take matters into their own hands. They set out on a dangerous mission to break the siege and save the city. Kees and his friends face many challenges along the way, but they are determined to succeed. They must overcome hunger, disease, and the constant threat of attack. But they are also inspired by the courage of the people of Leiden. In the end, Kees and his friends are successful in breaking the siege and saving the city. Leiden is free, and the people are grateful for the courage of the rebel sailors.Book Details
