'Scotch Twins' Summary
Jean and Jock are twelve-year-old twins who live in a small gray house on a hillside in Scotland. They have a happy life, playing with their dog, Tam, and helping their father with the sheep. But one day, they hear news that could change their lives forever. Their father has lost all his money and they may have to leave their home and move to America. The twins are heartbroken, but they are determined to make the best of their last summer in Scotland. They spend their days exploring the countryside, swimming in the river, and playing with their friends. They also learn some valuable lessons about life and the importance of family. In the end, the twins do have to leave their home, but they take with them the memories of a happy childhood and the knowledge that they will always have each other.Book Details
