Teddy, a young boy, holds dear a button from his father's uniform, a tangible link to the heroic death his father met on the battlefield. He often recounts the story of his father's bravery, keeping the button close as a symbol of his father's valor. This treasured button becomes a source of tension when a new girl moves to town. The girl, unfamiliar with Teddy's grief and devotion to the button, challenges his constant reminiscing and creates friction between them.
