The Vale to You, To Me the Heights

However, before they can fight, the bird of Jove speaks up and tells them that their behavior is foolish. The bird points out that both the lion and the bird live in peace together at the same pool, despite being "Kings" in their own right. The poem ultimately serves as a lesson on the futility of violence and aggression, and the importance of cooperation and understanding.
