'Thing from the Lake' Summary
Roger Locke, seeking respite from urban life, purchases an abandoned farmhouse in rural Connecticut. Assisted by his cousin Phillida and her fiancé Ethan, he embarks on renovations. However, their tranquility is shattered by nocturnal visits from a mysterious woman who warns Roger to abandon the house. Strange sounds emanate from the nearby lake, accompanied by sickening odors. An evil presence haunts Roger at night, engaging in a battle of wits. As Roger delves into the farmhouse's history, he uncovers a dark past involving witchcraft and grudges.
