**Trostschrift an Marcia** ist ein Werk des römischen Stoikers Lucius Annaeus Seneca, das im 1. Jahrhundert n. Chr. entstand. Das Werk ist als Brief an Marcia, eine Frau, die ihren Sohn verloren hat, verfasst und bietet Trost und Anleitung, wie man mit dem Verlust eines geliebten Menschen umgehen kann. Seneca greift dabei auf zentrale stoische Prinzipien zurück, die den Umgang mit Trauer, Schmerz und dem Tod betreffen. Er betont die Wichtigkeit, sich an die eigene Vernunft zu halten, den Schmerz zu akzeptieren und das Leid als eine Gelegenheit zur spirituellen Reifung zu betrachten.
