'Völsungasaga' Summary

The Völsunga saga traces the tragic lineage of the Völsungs, a noble clan destined for both greatness and destruction. The story begins with King Völsung, who is visited by a powerful sorceress who bestows a magical sword upon his sons. The saga unfolds across generations, following the rise of the heroic Sigurd, who slays the dragon Fafnir, earns the legendary sword Gram, and wins the hand of the powerful Valkyrie Brynhild.
