'Yollop' Summary
Mr. Crittenden Yollop, a wealthy and respected citizen, is surprised one night to find a burglar in his home. Instead of calling the police, Yollop befriends the burglar and learns that he is a former convict who is trying to go straight. Yollop decides to help the burglar, named Jimmy Valentine, return to prison, believing that it is the best place for him. The two men embark on a journey together, during which they encounter a variety of characters and situations that challenge their beliefs about crime and punishment.Book Details
