Jane Strong, a single woman living in an apartment complex, finds herself entangled in a dangerous mystery. She witnesses a man being chased by another man in the middle of the night, and then hears a gunshot. The next day, she reads that the man who chased the victim has committed suicide. However, Jane is skeptical and believes that something more sinister is at play. Soon, she begins to receive anonymous threats and realizes that her life is in danger if she continues to investigate.
