'Beast-Jewel of Mars' Summary
Burk Winters, a former starship captain, is thrust into a desperate search for his girlfriend, Jill Leeland, who has fallen prey to the addictive Martian vice known as 'Shanga.' Shanga promises a return to a primal state, a seductive escape from the harsh realities of Martian life, and it has claimed Jill, leaving Burk to face the grim reality of her addiction. As he descends into the labyrinthine canals of the Martian city, Burk uncovers a web of conspiracies and corporate greed, driven by the insatiable desire to exploit Mars's resources. The planet, however, fights back, revealing a hidden agenda that could reshape the destiny of humanity. Burk must navigate this treacherous landscape, facing his own demons and the wrath of a vengeful planet, to reclaim his lost love and unravel the truth behind the Shanga addiction.Book Details
