'Behind the Throne' Summary
Frank Spalding, a young British diplomat, is sent to Rome on a seemingly routine assignment. However, he soon finds himself embroiled in a dangerous world of espionage and intrigue. As Frank investigates a series of suspicious incidents, he uncovers a plot to assassinate a prominent political figure. With the help of a beautiful Italian countess, Frank races against time to stop the assassination and prevent a war between Italy and Austria-Hungary. Along the way, he must navigate treacherous political alliances, secret societies, and deadly assassins. Ultimately, Frank's courage and determination are put to the test as he risks his own life to protect the delicate balance of European peace.Book Details
