Georges Duroy, a young man from a modest background, arrives in Paris and quickly becomes entangled in the city's decadent and alluring society. Using his charm and cunning, he seduces and manipulates wealthy and influential women, rising through the ranks of society with each conquest. As his ambition grows, so too does his ruthlessness, and he becomes increasingly entangled in a web of deceit and moral compromise.
