'Campaña del Maestrazgo' Summary
En medio de la Primera Guerra Carlista, Don Beltrán de Urdaneta, un noble aragonés con deudas considerables, se embarca en una búsqueda desesperada por recuperar el dinero que le debe un campesino al que vendió sus tierras. Su viaje lo lleva a la Campaña del Maestrazgo, dirigida por el temible general Ramón Cabrera. En su camino, se cruza con la monja Marcela, quien busca el lugar donde su padre, un hombre rico, escondió sus riquezas antes de morir, con la intención de donarlas a un monasterio. La historia explora las relaciones entre estos personajes, cada uno con sus propias motivaciones y deseos. Mientras Don Beltrán lucha por saldar sus deudas, Marcela intenta cumplir con la última voluntad de su padre y Nelet, un joven militar, busca ganarse el amor de Marcela.
