A peça gira em torno do “Clube da Má Língua”, um grupo de indivíduos que se reúnem em segredo para tecer comentários mordazes sobre os membros da alta sociedade. A peça explora a vaidade, a hipocrisia e a busca por status social, através de personagens como o sarcástico Mordassov, que se diverte com a insignificância e superficialidade do grupo.
