Edmond Dantès is a young sailor who is falsely accused of treason and imprisoned for 14 years. While in prison, he meets the Abbé Faria, a fellow prisoner who teaches him about the world and gives him a treasure map. After Faria's death, Dantès escapes from prison and uses the treasure to become the wealthy and powerful Count of Monte Cristo. He then sets out to avenge himself on those who wronged him, using his wealth and influence to destroy their lives.Book Details
