Dandelion Cottage
'Dandelion Cottage' Summary
The story follows the adventures of four young girls, known as the 'Dandelion Girls,' who discover a dilapidated cottage in Marquette, Michigan. Seeking a place to play, the girls bargain with the wealthy and gruff Mr. Black, the owner of the cottage. In exchange for pulling dandelions on his property, they are granted permission to use the cottage as a playhouse. The girls, each with their own distinct personalities and dreams, learn about friendship, hard work, and the value of community. The story explores their interactions with Mr. Black, who initially appears harsh but gradually reveals a kind and generous heart. The girls also experience life's little joys, such as picnics, games, and moments of shared laughter, all within the cozy confines of the Dandelion Cottage. Through their time in the cottage, the girls learn valuable lessons about life and the importance of family and friendship.Book Details
