'drei gerechten Kammmacher' Summary
Die drei gerechten Kammmacher, drei fleißige Gesellen, arbeiten für denselben Meister in Seldwyla. Sie hegen alle drei den Traum, die Kammmacherei zu übernehmen und die reiche Jungfer Anna zu heiraten. Ihr Streben nach diesen Zielen führt zu einem erbitterten Wettlauf, der mit unerwarteten Folgen endet. Der Jüngste der drei, Peter, gewinnt den Kampf, indem er sich als der gerissenere und skrupellosere erweist. Er erhält die Kammmacherei und heiratet Anna. Doch die Ereignisse nehmen eine unerwartete Wendung, als Peter erkennt, dass er in seiner Gier nicht die Liebe von Anna gewonnen hat und in seinem Erfolg allein bleibt.
