'Ivanhoe' Summary
Ivanhoe is a Saxon knight who has returned from the Crusades to find his homeland in turmoil. The Norman Conquest has left England divided, with the Saxons oppressed by the Norman rulers. Ivanhoe joins forces with Robin Hood and other outlaws to fight for justice and the restoration of Saxon rule. Along the way, he falls in love with Rowena, a beautiful Saxon lady. However, their love is forbidden by Rowena's father, who has promised her to a Norman knight. Ivanhoe must overcome many obstacles to win Rowena's hand and help restore peace to England.Book Details
