'Leader' is an epistolary science fiction novella by Murray Leinster, originally published in 1960. It follows two scientists, Professor Albrech Aigen and Dr. Karl Thurn, as they investigate the history of a former despotic ruler known only as the Leader. Through their communications, they uncover the Leader's rise to power, his use of mind control to manipulate the masses, and the devastating consequences of his tyranny. The novella explores themes of power, charisma, and the dangers of unchecked authority.
