Lightnin'

Lightnin'

by Frank Bacon

Lightnin' Bill Jones and his wife run a ramshackle hotel on the Nevada-California border, a haven for a colorful cast of characters. Their lives are turned upside down when a group of unscrupulous businessmen arrives in town, intent on exploiting the locals and their resources. However, they soon discover that the folks in the hills are much smarter and tougher than they initially thought. This classic play, full of witty dialogue and memorable characters, explores themes of resourcefulness, love, and the clash between the old West and the encroaching modernity.
