'Silver Horde' Summary
The Silver Horde is set in the untamed landscape of Alaska, where 'Red' Saunders, a down-on-his-luck gold prospector, finds a new path to fortune in the bountiful salmon runs. Determined to establish a cannery, 'Red' faces the daunting challenge of the 'Salmon Trust,' a powerful cartel manipulating the fishing industry for their own gain. They use every tactic, from financial obstruction to inciting violence, to crush 'Red's' endeavors. He fights back with his own determination, navigating the treacherous waters of business, politics, and romance. His path is complicated by the love of two women: one a spoiled banker's daughter and the other a woman from the working-class community who truly understands his struggles. As 'Red' battles the 'Salmon Trust' and the forces of corruption, he discovers the true value of the Alaskan wilderness and the people who live there. The story culminates in a showdown between 'Red' and the 'Salmon Trust,' showcasing the enduring power of perseverance and the fight against injustice in the face of overwhelming odds.Book Details
