'Liliecrona's Home' Summary
Liliecrona's Home is a novel by Selma Lagerlöf. It was published in 1911 and is set in the district of Värmland, Sweden. The story follows Maia Lisa, the daughter of a widowed pastor. One day, her father remarries, and Maia Lisa's new stepmother turns out to be a wicked woman. She torments Maia Lisa and the other servants, and makes life at the parsonage a misery. Maia Lisa is supported by the Little Maid, a young woman who is not afraid to stand up to the stepmother. Together, they face the challenges of life at Lövdala Parsonage.Book Details
