'Mari de Charlotte' Summary
Charlotte is a young woman who is forced into an arranged marriage with her cousin, Georges. However, Charlotte is in love with another man, Emmanuel, and the two of them begin an affair. When Georges finds out about the affair, he becomes enraged and challenges Emmanuel to a duel. Emmanuel is killed in the duel, and Charlotte is devastated. The novel follows Charlotte as she tries to come to terms with her loss and move on with her life.Book Details
