Don Lollò Zirafa, a wealthy landowner in Sicily, becomes obsessed with a valuable jar that he believes has been stolen. He hires a detective to find the jar and when it is finally recovered, he takes great pleasure in humiliating the thief. However, the thief's revenge is swift and terrible. He breaks the jar into a thousand pieces, leaving Don Lollò devastated. The story is a tragicomedy that explores the themes of honor, tradition, and the futility of revenge.Book Details
