'Othello (Novelle)' Summary
In Hauff's novella, a young woman named Emilia finds herself caught between two men: her beloved, Rodrigo, and the wealthy and powerful Othello, who has taken her under his wing. Emilia's loyalty to Othello is tested when she discovers his involvement in the murder of Rodrigo's father, a crime driven by jealousy and ambition. Consumed by grief and a desire for revenge, Rodrigo's ghost haunts Othello, ultimately leading to his own downfall.
