'Oedipus at Colonus (Jebb Translation)' Summary
In "Oedipus at Colonus," the blind and exiled Oedipus, accompanied by his daughters Antigone and Ismene, seeks refuge in the sacred grove of Colonus near Athens. He is welcomed by King Theseus, who grants him sanctuary and protection. Oedipus, still burdened by his past, seeks to appease the vengeful Erinyes for his sins.
