Philo Gubb, Correspondence-School Detective
'Philo Gubb, Correspondence-School Detective' Summary
Philo Gubb is a wallpaper hanger with a dream: to become the world's greatest detective. To that end, he enrolls in a correspondence course and dons a series of disguises in an attempt to solve crimes. Unfortunately, Philo is not the most skilled detective, and his investigations are often more chaotic than clever. Despite his lack of expertise, Philo's bumbling ways somehow lead him to the truth, even if it's by accident. As he takes on case after case, Philo gains more experience and becomes a more confident (though still incompetent) detective. Along the way, he gets into plenty of trouble, but he also has a lot of fun. If you're looking for a good laugh and a light-hearted mystery, then Philo Gubb is the perfect detective for you.Book Details
