The Rover Boys, Tom, Dick, and Sam, are enjoying a relaxing sailing trip when their father, a renowned explorer, disappears without a trace. Suspicion falls on a rival explorer, who is known for his ruthless tactics and desire for fame. The brothers, convinced of their father's innocence and determined to prove it, launch their yacht, the 'Rover,' and set course for Africa. Their journey is fraught with peril.
