Rover Vol. 01 No. 23

by Lawrence Labree

“The Rover: A Weekly Magazine of Tales, Poetry and Engravings” was a popular magazine published in the mid-19th century. Edited by Seba Smith and Lawrence Labree, it aimed for high literary standards, presenting a selection of original and selected short stories, poems, and engravings. Each weekly issue contained a mix of creative writing and interesting trivia. Every six months, the 26 weekly issues were also published as a bound compilation, making the magazine accessible for longer-term readers. The 23rd issue of the series, as with other issues, reflects the editorial commitment to presenting diverse content for its audience.
