'Smoky God or a Voyage to the Inner World' Summary
The Smoky God is the story of Olaf Jansen, a Norwegian sailor who is compelled to tell the story of his journey to the center of the Earth. Olaf and his crew are shipwrecked in the Arctic, and they eventually find a passageway to the center of the Earth. They travel through a series of tunnels and caverns, and they eventually come to a vast underground world. This world is populated by giants, and Olaf and his crew must fight for their lives. They eventually escape from the underground world, and they return to the surface. Olaf tells his story to a group of scientists, and they are amazed by his tale. The scientists believe that Olaf's story is true, and they begin to investigate the possibility of life on other worlds.Book Details
