The Syndic is a novel by C. M. Kornbluth. It was first published in 1953. The novel is set in a future where the world is ruled by a benevolent dictator known as the Syndic. The Syndic is a wise and just ruler who has brought peace and prosperity to the world. However, there are some who believe that the Syndic's rule is too oppressive and that it is time for a change.
