'Tartarin de Tarascon' Summary
Tartarin de Tarascon raconte les aventures burlesques de Tartarin, un héros local de Tarascon, une petite ville du sud de la France. Tartarin est un fanfaron qui se décrit comme un grand chasseur d'aventure, mais ses exploits ne sont que des fabrications. Finalement, il est contraint de se rendre en Algérie, un pays qu'il imagine comme une terre exotique et mystique, à la recherche de lions. Mais au lieu de trouver une terre de rêve, il découvre un monde banal et prosaïque, décevant ses attentes. Il réalise que ses rêves ne sont pas la réalité et que sa bravoure n'est qu'une façade.Book Details
