Watchers

Watchers

by A. E. W. Mason

Set on a rugged Cornish island in the mid-1700s, "Watchers" is a dark tale of adventure, piracy, murder, and revenge. The story begins with a dangerous youth who sat in the stocks, and a girl named Helen, and a gang of men watching a granite house at the edge of the sea. The tale unfolds as the youth, now a man, seeks revenge against those who wronged him, and becomes entangled in a web of intrigue and treachery.
