Weird Tales Double Feature: Kull of Valusia
'Weird Tales Double Feature: Kull of Valusia' Summary
The first story, "The Shadow Kingdom," introduces Kull as the ruler of Valusia, a vast and savage kingdom. He soon faces a threat from a secret society of lizard-like shapeshifters who have infiltrated his court. They attempt to assassinate him, but Kull, through his cunning and strength, is able to expose and defeat them. In "The Mirrors of Tuzun Thume," Kull confronts a sorcerer named Tuzun Thume who uses a magical mirror to control the minds of his enemies. Kull, however, discovers that Tuzun Thume's power is based on the belief of his victims, and he cunningly uses this knowledge to defeat the sorcerer. Throughout the two stories, Kull faces moral dilemmas and contemplates his own place in the world. He is not just a savage warrior, but a ruler who is forced to make difficult choices and who is burdened by a deep sense of responsibility.Book Details
