Cuthbert, a fifteen-year-old boy from a small English village, longs for a life of adventure and honor. His chance comes when he saves the Earl of Evesham's daughter from a dangerous encounter. Impressed by his courage, the Earl hires Cuthbert as his page and takes him on the Third Crusade to the Holy Land. Cuthbert, eager to prove himself, serves with dedication and bravery.
