'ingenioso hidalgo Don Quijote de la Mancha' Summary
Alonso Quijano, a man of La Mancha in his fifties, reads so many chivalric novels that he decides to become a knight errant, taking the name Don Quixote de la Mancha. He sets out on his adventures with his loyal squire, Sancho Panza, a simple farmer. Along the way, they encounter a variety of characters, including giants, damsels in distress, and talking animals. Don Quixote's idealism and Sancho Panza's practicality provide a contrast that is both humorous and thought-provoking. Don Quixote's adventures often lead him into trouble, but he always manages to escape, thanks to his cunning and the help of his faithful squire. In the end, Don Quixote returns home, disillusioned but still an idealist.Book Details
