'Ahnen - Marcus König' Summary
Marcus König, a wealthy patrician in Thorn, is a supporter of the German Order. However, he becomes disillusioned with their rule and leaves the city. His son, Georg, falls in love with Anna Fabritius, the daughter of a Protestant minister, and they marry. However, their marriage is not recognized by the church, and they are forced to flee. They are eventually captured by a band of mercenaries, and Georg is forced to become their leader. The novel follows the lives of Marcus and Georg as they struggle to find their place in a changing world.Book Details
