Bible (Reina Valera) 08: Ruth

by Reina-Valera

The Book of Ruth is a short but impactful narrative that tells the story of Ruth, a Moabite woman who, after the death of her husband, chooses to follow her mother-in-law, Naomi, back to Bethlehem. In a time when such acts were unheard of, Ruth's loyalty and commitment to Naomi shine through. The story then details Ruth's chance encounter with Boaz, a wealthy landowner, and the subsequent development of their relationship. This ultimately leads to their marriage and the birth of Obed, who would become the grandfather of King David, a significant figure in the lineage of Jesus Christ.
