Broken Hearts
'Broken Hearts' Summary
Prince Florian, a Spanish prince, arrives on the Island of Broken Hearts, a haven for women who have lost their loved ones. These women, led by the Lady Hilda and her sister Vavir, have sworn off love and formed a tight-knit community, protected by a dwarf named Mousta. Florian, despite his initial attraction to Hilda, struggles to understand their pain and the island's mystical atmosphere. He is aided by the arrival of fairies who guide him through a series of trials, forcing him to confront his own emotions and the nature of love. Through a series of encounters and interactions with the women, Florian learns to appreciate their pain and the healing power of love. Ultimately, he understands that love is a transformative force, capable of both immense joy and immense sorrow. The play culminates in a moment of reconciliation and acceptance, as the women of the island begin to open their hearts to love once more, recognizing that even in the face of loss, love can endure and heal.Book Details
