Divina Commedia - L'Inferno
'Divina Commedia - L'Inferno' Summary
Dante's Inferno is a journey through the nine circles of Hell, each circle representing a different sin. As Dante descends through the circles, he encounters increasingly horrific punishments, from the relatively mild punishments of the upper circles to the eternal torments of the lowest circle. Along the way, Dante meets a variety of characters, including the Roman poet Virgil, who guides him through Hell, and the various sinners who are punished there. The Inferno is a powerful and moving poem that explores the nature of sin, punishment, and redemption.Book Details
