Every Man Out Of His Humour

Every Man Out of His Humour

by Ben Jonson

Every Man Out of His Humour is a satirical comedy written by Ben Jonson in 1599. It was first performed by the Lord Chamberlain's Men at the Globe Theatre. The play is a sequel to Jonson's earlier comedy, Every Man in His Humour, and it shares many of the same characters and themes. Every Man Out of His Humour is a biting satire of the follies and vices of human nature. Jonson uses his characters to represent different types of people, such as the fop, the braggart, the miser, and the fool. He shows how these people are ridiculous and misguided in their pursuit of wealth, status, and love. Despite its satirical nature, Every Man Out of His Humour is also a very funny play. Jonson's characters are larger than life, and their antics are often hilarious. The play is full of wit and wordplay, and it is sure to entertain audiences of all ages.
